Därligen is a small municipality on Lake Thun near Interlaken. It has four fountains dating back to 1862 that are well worth seeing and, like various farmhouses, are among Switzerland's cultural assets worthy of protection. Cycle along Route 9 to the Weissenau nature reserve in around 25 minutes. The Weissenau ruins, a former medieval lowland castle dating back to the 13th century, are located along the way. Climb 71 steps to reach a viewing platform at a height of 14.5 meters. From here you have an excellent view over Lake Thun.
