Broc is best known for the Maison Cailler chocolate factory, which was established here at the end of the 19th century. The village is situated on a high terrace at the foot of the Dent de Broc. To the north are Lake Gruyère and Lac de Montsalvens. The Jaunbach Gorge can be visited by families from Broc to the imposing dam of Montsalvens in an easy hike. It is the first dam in Europe to be built with a double arch dam (vertical and horizontal). The structure is 52 m high and 110 m long.
