Sierre is located among vineyards in Valais and is also known as the wine capital of Switzerland. The town, also called Sierre in German, is very spoiled by the sun and is known for its mild climate. The town, spread over 6 hills, lies largely on the banks of the Rhone River in the beautiful Rhone Valley.
