Lake Zug is located in central Switzerland and extends over the cantons of Zug, Schwyz, and Lucerne. It has an area of 38.41 km² and is surrounded by gentle hills and the pre-Alps. The sunsets here are particularly impressive, painting the lake in vivid colors. The town of Zug on the northern shore has a beautiful historic old town. The lake offers recreational activities like sailing, swimming, and stand-up paddling, as well as hiking and biking trails along its shores. In Lake Zug, along with numerous fish species, lives the Zuger Rötel, a local specialty.
