Culinary hike to the quadrilateral

On this 8-hour culinary hike you will hike from the city of Gallus to the Rhine in the four-country corner. On the way you can admire gigantic views of Lake Constance and enjoy the beautiful nature. During the tour you will get appetizer, main course and dessert in three different first-class restaurants

If you start at the train station in St. Gallen, you can take the Postbus at 08:48 to Untereggen, Hinterhof. From the bus stop Hinterhof your hike starts. After you have crossed green meadows and beautiful forests, you will stop at the Restaurant Bären. Here you will be served a delicious starter

After the break you go up to the viewpoint Fünfländerblick and the restaurant Rossbüchel. Here a regional main course with beautiful views over Lake Constance awaits you. Here you can see the countries of Switzerland, Austria and the former independent states of Baden, Württemberg and Bavaria

After the descent you visit the excursion destination Steiniger Tisch. Here a delicious dessert with a view over the vineyards of Thal awaits you. After this rest you walk to the train station Rheineck. From here you can depart individually. The S-Bahn will take you back to St. Gallen at 16:56.

• Dogs are allowed, but please keep them on a leash in the restaurants.
• Not suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs due to the sometimes steep paths and stairs.

13:00 p.m.: Main course to choose from at Wirtschaft Rossbüchel (Rossbüchel 416, 9036 Grub SG)

• "Fish Knusperli" baked in beer batter with tartar sauce and mixed salad
• "Gruber Vegi Spätzli" egg spaetzli with house cheese mixture and fried onions

3:30 p.m.: Dessert to choose from at the Steiniger Tisch excursion destination (Felsenstrasse 4, 9422 Staad / 9425 Thal)

• Seasonal cake of the day with cream
• Fresh apple strudel with cream

If you're looking for something a little more culinary, visit the Schützengarten Brewery in St. Gallen. This is the oldest brewery in Switzerland and offers a colorful mix of tastings and courses
