Flims is a municipality in Graubünden that stretches along both sides of the valley through which the Flems river flows. The village of Flims forms a pass on the Oberalpstrasse. From Reichenau in the east, the road climbs about 500 meters in altitude to Flims and then drops 400 meters in altitude to Ilanz in the west. In the south of the municipality of Flims, the Flims landslide took place 10,000 years ago, on whose debris cone the large Flims forest with its four lakes Caumasee, Crestasee, Lag Prau Pulté and Lag Prau Tuleritg was formed.
