Aarau interactive scavenger hunt with the smartphone

On this interactive treasure hunt in Aarau, you can explore the historic old town with the help of an app on your smartphone while solving exciting and informative puzzles and tasks.

You and your group can spontaneously go on a puzzle tour, as the start time is up to you. Only one ticket per person for the interactive game and a smartphone with the corresponding app is needed. The app guides you through an adventure with exciting information about the city, fun tasks, and tricky puzzles.

The treasure hunt lasts about 1.5-2 hours and starts at the tourism office in Aarau. Along the way, you will discover many attractions in Aarau, including the Obertorturm, the old cantonal school, and the old mill. The tour ultimately ends at the old mill.

• Each person can decide in which language they want to play the trail after entering the game code on their phone. It is thus possible to play in a multilingual group without making separate bookings.

The historic old town of Aarau is particularly known for its more than 90 richly painted eaves. So, while you're on your tour, be sure to look up and admire the beautiful roof gables.

• A school class can include a maximum of 25 people (students and adult companions).
• It is advisable to divide the school class into several teams, ideally with a size of a maximum of 8 people per team.
• After booking, you will receive a code for the game. This will be redeemed by all participants, so a maximum of 25 times. By this time, it should already be clear which students belong to which team.
• One person from the team now clicks the button "Create team" and gives the team a name. The team members click on "Join team" and join the team using the team name.
• The teams should start with a time gap of about 2-3 minutes so that they cannot simply follow each other.
• Basically, each person plays on their own smartphone. Since everyone answers the questions on their phone, the participants also compete against each other and receive a ranking of all players displayed. This makes it even more fun.
• If not every child in a school class has an internet-capable smartphone, the game can still be played. These children can play on another child's smartphone. All teams should have the same number of smartphones. Each team requires at least one smartphone.
