The tour in the Saxetenschlucht in the Bernese Oberland is the perfect introduction to a unique water adventure.
Just a short distance from Interlaken, you’ll experience your first canyoning adventures in the Saxetenschlucht with experienced and licensed guides.
Once you’ve been picked up at the pre-arranged meeting point, you’ll meet your guides at the Summer Base of Outdoor Interlaken in Matten near Interlaken.
Together with your guide, you’ll prepare the equipment for canyoning. After that, it’s a short 10-minute drive to the starting point of the canyon, the Saxetenschlucht.
At the starting point, you’ll receive a detailed briefing. You’ll spend the next 1.5 to 2 hours in the canyon, where you can take optional jumps, slide down natural rock slides, rappel down, and swim. All obstacles can be bypassed on this tour, so you can always decide how far you want to go.
You’ll start by rappelling down 10 meters. The highlight is a 5-meter jump into the water, which you can also skip if you prefer. The other jumps range from 1 to 2 meters in height. No canyoning tour would be complete without a rock slide—Superman is the longest one on the route.
This introductory tour offers everything needed for beginners and those interested in canyoning. It’s perfect for getting a first glimpse at an easy level while having an incredible amount of fun!
At the end of the tour, you’ll receive a refreshing drink and be driven back to the base.
