Grimsel Canyoning for beginners and advanced from Interlaken

This canyon hike at Grimsel offers you a variety of action-packed obstacles. You can tackle them all optionally, depending on your preference. The only challenge you can’t skip is the spectacular 50-meter rappel at the beginning of the tour. The canyon at Grimsel impresses not just with its variety, but especially with its wild landscapes and rock formations.

You’ll be picked up at a pre-arranged location and driven to the base in Matten near Interlaken. Here, you’ll prepare all the gear for your adventure together with the guide. After that, it's off to Grimsel Pass, which is about an hour's drive away.

Before you head into the canyon, your guide will give you a detailed safety briefing and explain the rules along with the key techniques.

The trip through the gorge begins with a true highlight; you will rappel 50 meters down into the canyon at the start. After that, you’ll continue for 2 to 2.5 hours over natural waterslides, past waterfalls, through crystal-clear pools, and over jumps into deep basins.

At the end of your adventure, you’ll be provided with a drink and a small snack before the ride back begins.
